The morning starts sunny, becoming cloudy with a high in the mid to upper 30s and a west wind 10 to 16 mph. Tonight stays mostly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 20s. Sunday remains mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of light snow and light rain, highs near 40.
Littlestown Borough Manager Richard Selby will speak at 7 30 p m Monday Feb 27 in the Kingsdale Firehall about growth in the borough and its effects on Littlestown Area School District and local taxes. QUEFT President Sue Shildt says the meeting is open to residents interested in how new housing affects students and finances.
Littlestown YMCA volunteers will contact residents to offer scholarships for families unable to afford Y programs. The annual goal is 12 000 dollars, up from 10 000 last year, aiding over 135 local children and families. Doug Armacost chairs the effort.
Rosa Lopez, an alibi witness for O J Simpson, vowed to return from El Salvador to testify before the jury as defense lawyers urged the judge to ensure her testimony is not lost. The court held an all day hearing to preserve her evidence and permit mid prosecution case testimony.

EPA Region II Director Kostmayer says Pennsylvania may meet federal clean air rules by methods of its choosing. Regulators will soon announce emission reduction standards while the state faces potential loss of Highway Trust Funds if it fails to cut ozone.
Adams County planning director Richard Schmeyer says growth will continue at a similar pace in 1996 as in prior years. He notes 70 percent of submitted plans become development within three years, with most growth linking to existing water and sewer systems in townships rather than boroughs.
