Car Crashes Into Fairfield Home After York Driver Hurt
A touring car driven by J. E. Baumgardner from Fairfield collided with a Yorkman sedan in Fairfield. The York car struck E. A. Seabrook’s phone and damaged a cellar wall that must be rebuilt. The driver and passenger both continued, and a York girl suffered a hand cut.

Three McKendricks jailed for default bail in Franklin county
Bernard McKendrick of Waynesboro his son John and Glenn Warren of Hamiltonian township were jailed after arraignment for eight counts of larceny. Bail totals 4300 for Bernard 3500 for Warren and 2000 for John. Ruth McKendrick remains jailed in Adams county awaiting court decision. Police cited $1300 in stolen goods from eight robberies including a Charmian post office heist. Other charges cover homes in Charmian Blue Ridge Summit Rouzerville and Pen Mar with various goods valued from 25 to 600 dollars.

Emmitsburg Man Buried Wednesday
Harry Gross 62 of Emmitsburg died Monday night at his home born in Baltimore began as a traveling representative for a stationers firm for years lived in Emmitsburg served as vice president and secretary of the Emmitsburg water company director of the Emmitsburg savings bank and vice president of the Isaak Walton league chapter. Survived by his widow formerly Miss Myra Fitzgerald of Baltimore and a daughter Miss Eloise Gross. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St Josephs Catholic church conducted by Rev P J Conroy.

Washington February 25 AP Governer nee Pinchot of Pennsylvania called on Senator Borah and discussed several topics in secret. Both men were silent about the visit Pinchot said it was of a private nature but acknowledged that direct federal relief was one topic. Pinchot avoided a clear stance on the Wagner substitute, proposed to fund 375000 for state relief loans. The Wagner bill would loan 375000 to states for relief instead of outright defined aid.

Tragic Two Year Old Burns To Death In Coal Oil Accident
In Bonneville area a two year old boy poured coal oil from a can onto a stove, igniting a fire that killed his year old brother Melvin Ginter.
