The Gettysburg Times highlights Bermudian Springs Middle School in its "Between classes" series on page A1O with a focus on Adams County schools. The paper has featured area schools this week and will profile the high school Friday while outlining plans for future profiles across the district and neighboring schools.

Adams County Children and Youth Services announced a 158000 Child Abuse and Family Services Grant to support PEACE programs countywide. The effort will fund parenting groups for ages 0-4, 4-12, teen education, and victim support, with sessions beginning in April for Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Mark Newton Spotz faces murder and nine additional counts in York County Pennsylvania. Police say he killed Penny Gunnet and seized her credit cards and rings to gift his girlfriend. Earlier, he linked to two other killings during a cross state spree from Jan 81 to Feb 3. Gunnet’s rings matched those missing from Gunnet and were identified by her husband Jeffrey.
Franklin Township officials refuse to issue a building permit for Eli Dobrinoff to open an adult bookstore and nude dancing venue on U S Route 30 near Gettysburg. The zoning ordinance bans sex oriented businesses within a thousand feet of churches, and two churches lie within range. The ordinance is enforced by Supervisors who say the plan would violate it. The Hull’s Discount Furniture building at 2741 Chambersburg Road is boarded up as workers remove belongings and prepare for a new sign. Gary Dobrinoff, brother of Eli, is tied to Miss Lindsay’s Health Spa in Orrtanna and faces multiple state charges.
School officials and coaches met in Littlestown for a four and a half hour closed session to discuss salary reductions under the three year teacher contract. After no resolution, officials said talks would continue as a grassroots booster group organizes fundraising to offset cuts and potential resignations.
Gettysburg Historic Architectural Review Board members reviewed attorney and broker Kim Patrone for the open HARB slot left vacant for over a year. Patrone defended tax roll placements and noted his local real estate holdings while pledging qualified interest. Executive session followed as the panel weighed his eligibility. Also approved were business signs for several shops and a bridge linkage between Carlisle Street parcels owned by the Adams County Housing Authority.
