Washington's Birthday Observed in Gettysburg Church Solemn Service
The Gettysburg Episcopal church of the Prince of Peace on Baltimore Street plans a 7:45 PM Monday service commemorating George Washington's 200th birth anniversary. The event features a Washington biographical sermon by Very Rev. Oscar F. R. Treder and choral evensong by Rev. John Willam Mulder with the St. John's Lancaster male choir. A patriotic procession will include the Sons of Veterans and Boy Scouts. The observance is organized by Archdeacon Hughes and Rev. Thurlow W. Null and open to the public.

Man Arrested For Not Sending Girl To School
Adams Kauffman of Hamiltonian township near Mont Alto was arrested for failing to send a minor daughter to school. Trooper G A Hahn and Constable Charles H Wilson made the arrest. He posted $200 bail for a February 20 hearing before Justice C A Shultz. this is his second arrest for the offense.
