New Park Super Named Jose Cisneros to Lead Gettysburg Site
Jose W. Cisneros, 58, named superintendent of Gettysburg National Military Park and Eisenhower National Historic Site by James W. Coleman of the National Park Service Mid Atlantic Region. He has led Bandelier National Monument in New Mexico since 1988 after previous roles at San Antonio Missions and a position in the Southwest Regional office. He will assume duties March 26. Frank J. Deckert continues as acting Petersburg National Battlefield superintendent after Daniel Kuehn’s retirement.
