Adams Electric plans $5.7 million upgrade to handle growth

Adams Electric Cooperative plans a $5.7 million expansion to serve growing demand. Four new substations will be built near Renaville, Gettisburg, Haverstown, York, and Stewartstown, increasing capacity at five existing substations and adding 79 miles of new distribution line while upgrading 61 miles. The system serves over 14,000 members across Adams Cumberland Franklin and York counties with about 2,000 miles of distribution line.

Court Imposes Sentences On Various Defendants

A Fayetteville man charged with homicide by vehicle and a stop sign violation in the Angela Pennington case received weekend jail time and a year’s parole. Cornett A Director of Chamber Is Elected

Joseph Cornett of Granite Hall Campground was elected to the Gettysburg Area Chamber of Commerce board to fill the vacancy from James Rhodes resignation. Robert McCoy was elected president of the Gettysburg Industrial Development Corp with Don Warner as vice president and Walter Fohl as secretary treasurer. The Center for Management Development at Mt. St. Mary's College reported 22 enrollments. registration runs to Feb 17.
