Gettysburg College to unveil sculpture for sesquicentennial

Gettysburg College has received a 22000 Art in Public Places Grant from the NEA to fund a commemorative sculpture for its 150th anniversary. Contemporary sculptor Martin Puryear was selected from 15 candidates by a college panel to create the piece and will guide its development as a symbol of the college’s heritage and arts commitment.

Countians Get 93M Pounds Cheese Distribution Plan

Adams County will receive about 3300 pounds of processed American cheese for needy families but no local distributor has signed yet with the Bureau of Government Donated Foods.
