Fire destroys home on Littlestown area route
Fire teams from Pleasant Valley Taneytown Littlestown and Kingsdale responded to a daylight blaze at the Donald Bond residence on Black School House-Babolyo Road four miles south of Littlestown. The roof attic and second floor were gutted with the first floor damaged by smoke and water. Bond and his wife were away when the fire started and the cause is under investigation.

Two women sustained bruised foreheads after a car carrying Esse Zellers and her sister Reby was struck by a sports car driven by 16 year old Michael M. Miller during a Hanover pursuit. Miller, from Lake Heritage, allegedly made an illegal turn at Baltimore and Hanover Streets while Officer Daniel Wickson pursued in a Hanover police cruiser. The Gettysburg Moose Lodge approved Candie Gettysburg committee use of the Moose ballroom for a Lincoln Day Festival dance next Thursday night from 9 to midnight with Mary Lou and her Melody Men.
