Health Plan Hearing Set For Tuesday
A public hearing on Adams County health improvement plan will be held Tuesday from 1 to 4 pm and 6 36 to 9 30 pm in Chambersburg City Hall. The Health Systems Plan for South Central Pennsylvania affects eight counties and outlines goals to improve health and curb costs. Oakside Park Drive Passes Half Way Mark
Oakside Park funds for the 1978 Small Business Division have reached the midway point toward the goal. Co chairs William Bucher and Terry Lower report about 30 businesses have pledged cash, materials, machinery and manpower for Park construction. Approximately half of volunteers have not yet filed contribution reports. many Upper Adams Businesses remain uncontacted. Contributors include Colonial Quill Advertising and Raymond Fair Insurance among many others. Oakside Park Director Robert Tate notes this is the first drive in a series to fund park development across Upper Adams Communities. A Park Bulletin will publish history, organization, and future plans and small business contributors will receive advertising space in the booklet.

Two Teenage Girls Injured In Baltimore Street Crash
Two teenage girls were injured when a car driven by Harold E Reynolds lost control on Baltimore Street at Stemweli Avenue. Debra Brown, 16, was treated for a facial laceration and later listed in satisfactory condition after a transfer to York Hospital. The vehicle, a 1585 Mustang, struck a parking meter before police charged Reynolds with driving while intoxicated.
