Adams County churches plan numerous Christmas observances this weekend with more than ten congregations scheduling Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services in Gettysburg. The First Baptist Church and Christ Lutheran Church will host cantatas and children’s pageants during morning services, with carol singing and gifts distributed to residents at nursing homes along Route 30 West.

Glassick Defends Liberal Arts At AARP ’76 Luncheon

Hanover Woman Dies In Collision Near Westminster
A Hanover woman 34 identified as Iolei Lorraime Boose of Hobart Road died after a two-vehicle crash on Maryland Route 97 two miles south of Westminster on Snyder’sburg Road. A northbound 1977 tractor trailer driven by Terri Lee Hardenham of New Windsor struck her southbound 1979 Honda Accord, trapping Boose for about 15 minutes before transport to Carroll County General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A 23 year old Hanover man Berard R Lecrone Jr pleaded guilty to a July 24 robbery at Robet Seres Dairs Store Oxford Tap taking 320 from a clerk after he feigned a weapon. Judge Oscar F Spicer fined Lecrone 4590 and ordered restitution. Sentence to run concurrent with another state term starting July 31 1978.
