Litlestown Man Edward Harvey Found Dead In Woods
In Littlestown, a 50 year old itinerant man identified as Edward Harvey was found dead at 6 45 this morning in the T C McSherry woods on the town's southeastern edge. Companions Joseph Esperly and Leslie Hamilton said Harvey was last seen alive Monday afternoon in an intoxicated state. Coroner Dr C G Crist reported death from acute alcoholism and exposure after Harvey slipped in mud and fell into a stream while returning to a hobo camp near the railroad tracks. He was taken to J W Little and Son Funeral Home for arrangements.

Littlestown boy hurt by air rifle pellet in accident
Tyrone Maitland thirteen of Littlestown was struck in the right eye by a pellet while firing his new air rifle Saturday afternoon. He received emergency care from Dr Donald B Coover and was later taken to Harrisburg Hospital for observation.

Gettysburg College approves cooperative programs with Pennsylvania State College for Engineering and Duke University for Forestry. Part of Battlefield Is Closed to Protect Deer
Gettysburg National Park closes large wooded sections of the battlefield to the public to prevent deer from being driven onto private land where they could be shot. Areas around Big Round Top and adjacent woods near Confederate Ave. will remain closed through the hunting season. A spike buck was found shot near Big Round Top and turned over to a park game protector.

Unknown auto driver blamed for fatality
Adams County coroner jury found Mrs. Lillie Shorb 75 fatally injured November 20 when struck by a moving vehicle driven by a person unknown. The inquest urged police to keep the case open for possible further testimony as autopsy showed internal hip fracture bleeding. Witnesses heard a loud thud but saw no vehicle.
