Four teens were injured when a 1969 Chevrolet sedan left a curve near Old Shippensburg Road five miles west of Arendsville. Driver Tammy Williams, 16, and co‑passenger Raihy Glass, 16, were treated and released. two others, Robert Hower, 17, and Keith Gulden, 17, were in satisfactory condition with back and leg injuries. The car sheared a United Telephone pole and rolled down an embankment. responders from Fayetteville and Arenzville aided at the scene.

Night burglary hits three Gettysburg businesses
Three Gettysburg businesses reported cash losses during the night. Roy Coldsmith Inc. at 135 Water St. and Schwartz's Washette at 158 E. Water St. each lost money, with about 12 dollars from Coldsmiths and roughly 3 dollars missing from Schwartz's. Kay Allen Classics on North Fourth St saw about 3.50 dollars stolen between Wednesday afternoon and early today. Entry was gained through multiple pried windows and about 20 in damage noted.

Mrs Ann Elison Snyder Petza age 61 of Gettysburg died at Hanover Hospital after being struck by a southbound Ford truck on Abbottstown Street East Berlin. The collision occurred as she crossed from east to west while with her husband. Dean L Larson 26 of West King Street East Berlin operated the truck. Coroner Kathryn L Fourhman ruled death from lower aorta liver and spleen injuries. Petza had been York Springs correspondent for the Gettysburg Times and was active in civic groups. Funeral arrangements pending.

Lockman Gets Concurrent Two To Seven Year Term
Robert Lee Lockman aged 24 from 249 Baltimore Street was given four concurrent sentences totaling up to seven years in state prison for burglary theft forgery and receiving stolen goods. He pled guilty to burglary and receiving stolen goods and admitted taking $120 and three blank checks from Carrell Shoe Co. in Arendisville on Aug 20. The judge ordered the sentences to run concurrently and start immediately or in 1982 depending on parole board action.
