Creditors of R G Mumma, former proprietor of the news stand drug store sold to P W Stallsmith, are likely to receive about 18 percent of their claims after a court hearing. Judge Don ald P McPherson will prepare a computation for division and payment to each creditor. Funeral services for Jacob Bowers will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from his grandson’s home in Grantec with burial in Harney United Brethren Cemetery.

Fire destroys Kroninberg building leaves seven families homeless
Carlisle December 7 AP fire destroyed the Kroninberg building causing about 350000 in damage. Two women were rescued and three firemen were slightly hurt. Evelyn Arbigast a cashier was carried down from a third floor window. Mrs. Jacob Wiener was rescued after entering for papers. Fireman Lester Bricker was overcome by smoke and revived at a hospital.

In Port Au Prince a 1500 strong mob armed with clubs knives and stones attacked a Marine patrol. Five invaders were killed and 13 wounded.
