Bonnie Sentz 17, Littlestown, crowned 1979 80 Kingsdale Fire Company queen after beating 14 other contestants at its carnival. She receives 100 and a trophy from carnival chair Harry Hilbert. Miss Sentz, a Littlestown High senior active in cheerleading and volleyball, plans college study in child therapy and will compete in the Adams County Volunteer Firemen Association Queen contest in Fairfield next August. Other winners were Lisa Rider first runner up and Robin Gartrell second runner up.

Littlestown Driver Hurt in McSherrystown Crash
Conrad C. Hull, 52, of Littlestown, listed in satisfactory condition at Hanover General Hospital after a two car crash at South 4th Street and South Street in McSherrystown. Christopher A. Rhodes, 16, of Hanover, driven a 1972 Ford LTD, struck Hull’s van and received no injuries. Rhodes and five passengers, all 15, from Hanover were not hurt. No charges filed as investigation continues.

Car Hits Kitchen Near Littlestown In Two Accidents
Two one vehicle crashes near Littlestown Thursday left one minor injury and moderate kitchen damage. Daniel J. Fox 21 of Littlestown drove off Chestnut Hill Road into Margaret Hilker’s kitchen, suffering a cut lip and minor truck damage. no one else was hurt. In the other crash on Route 97 three miles north, Steven J Hertzler 18 and passenger Dennis E Miller 18 escaped injury after skidding, striking guard posts and ending in a ditch. Littlestown Fire Co. and ambulances assisted at both scenes.

Campground manager denies assault charges in Gettysburg area case
Adams County Indiana man Joseph C. Cornett denies accusations by Robert J. Heininger of Portage Indiana that he assaulted him at Granite Hill Family campground during a July family vacation. Cornett claims he used only necessary force to enforce a campground curfew and protect others and property. The youth allegedly refused the 11 p.m. curfew and was found in a common area. Cornett says he ordered him to return to his campsite.
