Four Injured In Emmitsburg Road Crash
A $550 auto collision sent four persons to Warner Hospital for treatment at 8 25 Monday evening on Business Route 15 Cumberland Township just south of the borough line. Kathleen Marie Gibbons 17 and three Culliston children suffered neck and head injuries in a crash involving Frederick J. Martin 29. Police say Gibbons car hit the rear of Martins vehicle which had stopped for traffic. Damage totaled 400 to the Gibbons 1968 Chevrolet and 150 to Martins 1968 Ford. No one hurt in a second crash 2 miles south of the borough line when Henry N Worthen 34 attempted to pass Denis M Foust 24 and struck the left side of Fousts car as he turned into a private drive.

New Lights Planned For Rec Park
The Gettysburg Recreation Board approved installing a modern softball field lighting system at Recreation Park for 3700 dollars and resodding the Little League field for about 1200 dollars. Swam Electric Co. will perform the work starting after next Monday and will allow three-year payments. The board discussed expanding leagues due to excess players, especially ages 9 to 12, but facilities cannot yet support more teams. Retired General Robert E. Myers Dies in Virginia

In foggy dawn conditions a Martinsburg West Virginia pair were injured when a station wagon left the Lincoln Highway near the Harris and Stipe pheasant farm in Straban Township five miles east of town at 2 50 am. A passing motorist took both men to a hospital after the westbound car left the road on a curve and plunged down a five foot embankment.
