Borough Costs Stay Within Budget Figures

Railroad worker breaks leg in fall from engine
Shanton Te Kopp of 824 York street, 61, a reading company chinist, slipped while tightening bolts on a locomotive in the Tkeading yards Monday evening about 6 30. His wrench slipped and he fell one to six feet, catching his left ankle in a rod near the cowcatcher. He was found by Engineer Luther Brubaker, then taken to Warner hospital by the Adams county ambulance.

Lincoln highway crash injures four near Gettysburg
Four people were hurt in a two car collision on the Lincoln highway a short distance east of the railroad near Gettysburg Bigl. Larry Lowry Hill known as Larry, 18, suffered skull fracture signs and was taken to York West Side hospital. Evalyn Gro 31 of Stahlstown PA sustained a discolored left eye after her head struck a windshield. Walter Green 33, his wife and two children Walter 19 and Joseph were passengers in one car. Deight E Snyder 22 of Gettysburg PA, also a passenger in the other car, traveled fast forwardly before turning left and crashing. Damages were $1 to the Green car and $20 to the Snyder car. M J Wargo of the York motor police led the investigation.
