Northeast apple growers set minimum price for apples

Eight state apple growers in the region met in Washington DC to set recommended minimum prices for the season. The two prices are 7.85 dollars per 100 pounds for canning apples and 5.25 dollars for juice apples. Pennsylvanian growers hoped for 8.35 for canning apples but accepted the negotiated figures as minimums.
