Woman Held on Assault Charge in Hamilton Township
Mrs Madeline Baker and Mrs Elizabeth Baumgardner, both of Hamilton Township, were assaulted with Baumgardner arrested by state trooper William Gressang and constable Charles H. Wilson. Baumgardner posted 300 dollars bail for a hearing before Justice John C. Shealer at a later date.

Farmer Jonas Lobaugh Fatal Self Inflicted Gunshot Near York Springs
Jonas E Lobaugh a Gardners R D farmer near York Springs ended his life shortly before noon by shooting himself through the left chest with a pumpkin ball loaded shotgun. He would have been 52 in September. He had suffered rheumatism and hip pain while helping a neighbor thresh. Mrs Lobaugh and a niece found his body about 400 yards from the house after he had left for squirrels. Coroner Dr Edgar A Miller investigated. He is survived by his father three brothers and one sister.

Man Dies on Road From Stroke During Fairfield Visit
Roy W. Walter, 48, of Mechanicsburg, died instantly from an apoplectic stroke while walking from Fairfield station toward Fairfield. He was accompanied by Samuel Musselman, 25. Walter had just lit a cigarette near the Landis farm when stricken. Dr. Ira Henderson and Dr. Edgar A. Miller arrived but he was already dead. Walter is survived by his father Lewis B. Walter, three sons Robert Junior and John, two daughters Gladys and Lorene, and one sister Mrs. John R. Plank. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
