Apple growers to meet in Washington on minimum price
Representatives from eight Northeast apple states will gather in Washington DC August 4 and 5 to set a recommended minimum price for processing apples. Donaldson of Adams County says the price is advisory and will be influenced by crop size inventories and the economy. Last year prices held, with $8 per bushel for processing apples and $5 for juice.
