DeNadai AIA architect of the new Hotel Gettysburg will address Historic Gettysburg-Adams County Inc at its 15th Annual Meeting and Dinner at the Dobbin House Monday April 23 at 6 p.m. A 30 minute slide show covers restoration and renovation, with focus on the Hotel Gettysburg. Carroll M. Davenport of Chester W.Va. will assume full-time leadership of the Gettysburg YWCA next month after a six-week national search. Davenport, a Wilson College graduate and former York WCA director, also leads ACCESS York and co-founded Software Review Corp. with her husband. Convicted Trucker Seeks Hearing in Double Fatality
Thomas Montrigg, jailed for the 1987 deaths of Jeffrey Smail, his wife Diane and daughter Justina, asks the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for a hearing on his case. The crash occurred April 5 1987 on Pa Route 116 when a Mack tractor trailer driven by Pigg crossed into the Smails’ lane, killing Diane and Justina. Jeffrey survived. Pigg was convicted November 5 1987 of multiple murder and DUI counts and sentenced December 29 1988 to 10 to 20 years in state prison.
