Teens Rescue Attempt Fails. Man Dies After Pond Crash

In Highland Township a 26 year old man, Ray Allen Little of Littlestown, died after his vehicle veered off Knoxlyn Orrtanna Road and plunged into a 10 foot pond. Teens Daniel L. Scott and Darryl Miller, both Gettysburg High seniors, rescued Little from the submerged vehicle but he could not be revived at Gettysburg Hospital. Autopsy results pending. State police continue investigation.

Adams County farmers adopt Taney Town Road for cleanup

The Adams County Farmers Association becomes the county's first group to adopt a highway. They will oversee about 2.8 miles of Taney Town Road from the Maryland border to Rock Creek bridge in Barlow, cleaning litter at least four times a year with state-provided bags and vests.

Gettysburg resident recalls family history and battlefield roots
