Mount Joy woman killed as barn wall collapses
Ann Teresa McKown a 44 year old Mount Joy Township resident was killed when part of a 19th century stone barn wall collapsed while she tended to two horses. Her husband George McKown found her under rubble around 12 30 pm. She was a full time business student at Shippensburg University and was planning to graduate in May. Funeral services are planned in Emmitsburg Maryland.

New Oxford FBLA Heads to State Conference at Seven Springs
The New Oxford Future Business Leaders Association team of 17 students travels to Seven Springs Resort Champion Pa for the 38th Annual State Conference April 9 10 and 11 to compete in accounting business English economics and entrepreneurship. The 69 member club will be judged on the 1989 1990 school year's work including community projects and workshops. A notable project was a tour dettes syndrome seminar presented to New Oxford teachers. Club officers led by Amy Weber president will be evaluated for their leadership and achievements including regional Miss FBLA second place and state conference participation.
