Public notice states the estate of Joseph Wragg faced an incitement case for damages of eight thousand pounds in the federal court, with trial scheduled at the next court sitting. Executor BEDOUT May 30.
On the first Monday in June and the 24 days of May next a plantation in Georgetown known as Winges Ferry containing 104.5 acres with 89.5 acres prime tide swamp, to be sold to satisfy debts and costs. The sale includes a two story dwelling on Lot 25 and various enslaved people as property of Emanuel Coryell and others, with bonds and mortgages required and ten percent cash down.
For sale by Levi Salomon a long list of dry goods and miscellaneous items. Coffee, peppers, soap, candles, raisins, fabrics, handkerchiefs, knives, razors, playing cards, ink stands, hymn books, glassware, table linens, calicoes, muslins, and more are offered with prices and quantities.
A notice from Millville dated May 6 offers a reward of Dollars for two enslaved men, Jones and Jack, described as 20 years old, with Jones being taller and clumsy, Jack with a shorter right arm. They were last seen nearLambertown and may be harboured by any free person. The ad also lists letters remaining at Willtown Post Office as of April 1, 1891, including names such as Athaniel Snow and Robert Paisley.
Smudged items report a Georgetown marriage by Rev Fraser and a second wedding in Annapolis of prominent figures, plus a Paris crime tale about a midwife delivering a child then witnessing a double murder with a coin gift and a blood marked door.
The Boston Marine Society reports a recently discovered sunken rock off Sumatra in the Streights of Sunda. Captain Moses Barnard notes no rock on English or D Aris charts between Sumatra points. the rock lies in 90 fathoms close to its eastern side. Navigators should avoid shoaling below thirteen fathoms.
