State Tax Assessors Favor The Railroads
The State Board of Assessors completed a two day session in Columbia and reduced railroad property assessments for 1907 and 1908. Atlantic Coast Line Southern railway and Seaboard Air Line saw reductions totaling 1 732 252 in assessments and about 30 900 in taxes. Small independent lines were unchanged.
