Two Killed in Rear End Collision Near Schenectady

Two killed and six seriously injured in a rear end crash on the Albany Line of the Schenectady Railway near the city outskirts. The brakes of the leading car failed, causing the following car to crash into it on a steep grade with two more collisions before control was regained. All aboard were returning from Albany.

Five Men Killed by Lightning at Buckhorn Plant

A lightning strike hit the Buckhorn power plant in Raleigh North Carolina this afternoon killing five men and injuring between twenty and thirty five. Downed wires prevented immediate identification of the dead and injured and the extent of property damage was not yet known.
