New York October 24 jury in general sessions to decide if James Wadell who allegedly joined a death by own action pact with his wife is guilty of manslaughter with potential twenty year punishment or of a lesser felony or no crime. The couple tried coal gas asphyxiation but failed then Wadell bought a revolver and his wife killed herself. the attempt misfired.
Park Marshall, receiver in the Guyton vs Turner suit over the Union Stock Yard, awarded judgment of 18.24 against Hetty Green of New York. Green, a stockholder when the company was wound up, was overpaid, failed to note a letter about the error, and was taxed for the motion.
