Homicide in Orangeburg shocks local farming area
Orangeburg October 21 Nathan G Garrick a farmer near Cope was shot and killed by Handy Gloster in the presence of Magistrate's Constable W C Champey who tried to collect rent. Gloster seized Garrick's pistol and fired, Garrick dying after about twenty five feet. Gloster is jailed. No further details available.

Toast to long life ends in sudden death at Brooklyn party
Edward Moier, 36, wealthy owner of a half interest in Acme garage at Park Circle and Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn, fell dead mid toast at a social gathering held at his nearby home after raising his glass. Police investigation to determine cause.
