Dr Eugene Wasdin Death Announcement in Georgetown
Dr Eugene Wasdin died in Gladwyne Pennsylvania yesterday morning at 4. He lived in Philadelphia after a nervous breakdown and stroke, had been in the Public Health Service and helped operate on President McKinley. Born September 28 1859 in Georgetown South Carolina he was a noted yellow fever expert. His body will be brought to Georgetown for interment at Elmwood Cemetery Monday morning.

Slayer of Chief Succumbs in Baton Rouge Shootout
Henry Gillingham, the suspended officer who killed Chief Hart of the Baton Rouge police, died in the hospital from self-inflicted bullet wounds after a confrontation with Assistant Chief Huyck and Special Officer Hauer. Mrs. Gillingham earlier prayed he would not recover, fearing hanging if he lived.

Teacher Shot By A Patron In Lumber City Georgia
R L Moon principal of the public school was shot while returning from school by D Z Willis a patron. After a dispute over a whipping given to Willis' son Willis fired three times two shots hit Moon in the hand and scalp. Moon received medical care and is not believed to be seriously hurt. Willis recently moved from Cochran Georgia.

Oklahoma Court Upholds Ten Year Murder Term
In Oklahoma City on November 17 a dead man was sentenced to ten years in state prison and his estate must cover court costs. John W. Sharpe, Cherokee chief of police at Talequah, was convicted of second degree murder for killing William Powell. The Court of Criminal Appeals affirmed the trial court’s sentence.
