Spokane Chamber Seeks Equitable Freight Rates Hearings
Spokane’s intercity commerce group continues its 20 year fight for fair freight rates from Chicago and Missouri river points. It plans to press objections to Hill and Harriman rate schedules at a June 9 Washington DC hearing, with delegation support from Northwest firms and lawmakers urged to secure a $1,000,000 valuation fund and Hepburn-law amendments to curb unreasonable rate increases.
