Bennettsville May 11 Mr W G Davis of Hartsville showed a News and Courier correspondent a clipping from an old Georgetown paper dated 1807. It includes two obituaries one for Mrs Ann Eliza Davis and another for George Pierce Esq aged 67. The reverse side lists ads for dry goods hardware medicines Jamaica rum Cognac brandy and more and a municipal flour price notice. The piece notes editor John McIver of Charleston and railroad needs for Georgetown toward Marion Columbia.
