Columbia March 3 Special The Supreme Court issued a unanimous opinion affirming the life sentence of W. T. Jones a wealthy planter from Union in the wife poisoning case McCaw.
The South Carolina State conference on conservation of public health concluded in Columbia with aims to reduce controllable diseases and preventable deaths and to preserve the health and efficiency of citizens. It seeks to hasten a future where every man and woman may enjoy full health and happiness.
