The community is asked to have ice cream ready by 6 p m Monday for a wagon pickup at Mrs Can non s. Also noted are social events and local notices including school commencements, medal remarks, a candidate column, and a lost setter dog in Choppee.
The Winyah Graded School of Georgetown celebrated closing exercises in its new auditorium. Eight graduates, two girls and six boys, were praised for their progress. Speakers, recitations, and diplomas highlighted the evening as Principal Bynum and trustees received thanks.
The Air Ship Thieves entertainment is shown at the electric theatre this evening to aid the fire boys heading to Darlington to win Georgetown's prize. The yacht Dudley will sail from the railroad wharf at 2 p.m. and Market dock at 2 15 p.m. Sunday, returning from North Island at 6 p.m. Round trip cost 50 cents. Local agent L Brinkley invites requests for laundry work.
