Superintendent Bravely Halts Fire At Standard Oil Refinery
W A Weaver, superintendent of the Atlantic refinery, dashed through flame to shut a valve and stop a fire from reaching large tanks of oil. Over thirty thousand barrels were stored nearby and two thousand residents were awakened by the blaze. The action saved a catastrophe akin to the Sheridan explosion, limiting damage to the benzine still.

Poke Root Mixture Touted To Prevent Hog Cholera
