Independence Day celebrations featured two standout baseball exhibitions directed by Col. R. M. Barnes and Capt. Frank S. Davis. Morning game saw Georgetown beat the Char Tigers 7 to 8 with strong pitching by Lachicotte. afternoon crowd of seven or eight hundred watched Georgetown lose momentum as Charleston surged to a 9 to 5 victory amid injuries and late rally.

Maron’s Company Meeting At Black River Road
