Ball at Andrews Honors Leading Citizen in Town

Farnum Fined Five Thousand In Dispensary Case
James S. Farnum pleaded guilty to rebating former Dispensary Director Joseph Wylie in $1,500 graft. He was fined $5,000 or one year hard labor but the court amended to remove the prison option after his attorney and the prosecutor agreed the fine would be paid immediately. Farnum paid the $5,000 by bank certificate.
