Saluda County corn contest plans prize for top acre yield

Farmers in Saluda County organize a corn contest with a $1 entry and a winner take all fund. Entrants must submit plans and planting records by April 1 to determine the 1910 largest corn yield per acre. Bank of Saluda leads with a $10 contribution. Ira W Williams and others will speak at Lancaster Boys Corn Club event on the 26th. Congressman Lever posts a $50 prize for the year’s top yield.
