Taft Administration Poll Shows Narrow Republican Support

Success Magazine surveyed 13 000 life subscribers about Taft's first nine months in office. Of 6 582 Republicans asked, 3 091 said yes on satisfaction, 2 490 said no. Only 689 favored cooperation with Speaker Cannon and Senator Aldrich, 6 293 opposed. Among Republicans, 6 219 wanted Taft to oppose the Speaker while 461 urged support. The results suggest Taft's strength within his party has weakened since candidacy.
