Alden Thomas Cushing, a Lancaster New York druggist and real estate dealer, disappeared on November 12 from the Hotel Gates. His body was found in Laurel Park with a loaded 32 caliber revolver in his hip pocket. Coroner’s inquest returned death from an unknown cause. Cushing had come to Hendersonville for heart trouble and was engaged to be married.
