A giant bull on the Ulster and Delaware Railroad tracks charged an express last night near Kingston. The collision hurled the animal onto an embankment, it returned to the rails, and fell under a parlor car causing a derailment. The train halted promptly with no injuries. Passengers aided the crew in removing carcass fragments before the journey resumed toward New York after about an hour’s delay.
Postmaster Morgan of the New York post office was advised that from October 1 the postage on letters mailed within the United States to Great Britain or Ireland will be 2 cents per ounce or fraction.
