Man Charged With Theft of Fish in Police Court
In Aiken on August 12 the mayor set Allen Mays a choice of twenty five dollars or thirty days for stealing a bunch of fish from Yankee Jim, a colored man. Mays claimed he bought the fish, Yankee Jim denied selling any, and said he was pressured to change his testimony.
