The Record scouts Buick and Brush reached the city at 12 30 AM after heavy rains and slippery roads forced a stop at Kingstree. They started a Statewide tour to study roads for a County to Capital route and were met by Georgetown Chamber of Commerce officials and citizens, then escorted to the Palmetto Club for a smoker to discuss road improvements.
