Georgetown welcomed envoys from Japan and the firm Mitzu Co to view Geo H Tomlinsons Chicago led process turning waste lumber from A C L into ethyl alcohol. Observers sought insight into a secret production method with broad industrial promise for the city.
The Georgetown Board of County Commissioners held its regular meeting with Supervisor J. B. Johnson and County Commissioner H. T. McDonald present. A treasurer’s report showed $5,065.40 on hand. A letter from Mr Durant asking aid for W. F. Pauls was received and Johnson instructed on action. Claims approved totaled $2,102.00 and the board adjourned.
