Swedish Lutherans Celebrate Fiftieth Anniversary of Society
The Swedish Lutheran church in Geneseo marked fifty years of worship and service with a three day celebration. A history recounting early founders led by Gust Gustus Jountestus and J. Gustus Johnson highlighted growth from a small group in 1856 to a robust congregation of 400 plus, with multiple pastors and a new church building. Attendees included resident leaders and visiting clergy from nearby towns and churches, and the event wrapped with reflections on faith and future gospel work.
