H W Sand has a large sale near Krovance this week and other sales in the area. Al Kemmis imported Jerusalem Artichoke seed. one acre yields 300-500 bushels. seed sold at 1 per bushel. three bushels plant an acre.
Seniors begin rhetorical work under Celia Roos while students study at Gen Ex. Campbell acted as critic at the Ideal meeting. Miss Andrews Rummel and Decker visited the Ideal. Rena and Guy NewKinney returned after the Fair. Schnabelde surprised us with a morning visit. Zoology class uses the west recitation room as a manager's den, housing various creatures in paper baskets and other spots.
The State Board of Equalization released district tallies via Hon. T P ierce of Kewanee. For Bureau, Bousxav County shows 15 percent cut on personal property and 16 percent on lands. Henry County posts 12 percent overall, Putnam 6 and 5 percent, Wrrresipe 14 and 15 percent, and other counties list varying reductions to reach total equalized valuations.
