Tuesday evening the pleasant parlor hosted the band of young people called the Y of the Future. Miss Addie Cooper read the paper and Misa Gortio Sargent reported on the District WC. U. Esther A Lynn born 1827 St Clair County Illinois widow of Rev O F Smith dies at home in Atkinson from dropsy of the heart. She leaves ten children including ministers Rev O Q Smith Rev F G Smith Rev J R Smith and others. Funeral at Congregational church Atkinson Saturday Sept 30 at 10 30 a m officiated by Rev Biers. Burial in Okwood Geneseo.
Francis Asbury McHenry died at his Pink Prairie home on Sunday Oct 1 1893 at age 65. A Native of White County he moved to this county with his parents in 1637 settling in Phenix township. Survived by wife and six children he had suffered paralysis for over a year. Funeral held Monday at 2 p.m. at his house with Rev F W Thompson officiating. Buried in Oak Grove cemetery Phenix township on land entered by his father from the U S government.
The senior class reports one hundred pupils enrolled. Meetings began last Friday with officers elected: Pres Geo Fehlman, Vice Pres Walter Cady, Sec Helen Antes, Treas Fred Rastede. Senior motto kept, Milton Paradiese Lost literature studied, Miss Flora Dedrick back after a week absence.
