Golden Jubilee and New Church for St Malachys Geneseo
The parish marks the Golden Jubilee of the first Mass in Geneseo with plans for a new church to cost about twenty thousand dollars. The facility will seat 400 and offer a vast sanctuary, organ, frescoes, twelve to fourteen altars, and a brick design with modern heating and electric lighting. Father Foley, long in Geneseo, led fundraising and church work, with local citizens and organizations pledging support for the project.
