Exchange Street paving case advances in circuit court
The circuit court last week and again this week heard the Exchange Street paving objections. Judge Graves ruled on key points including estoppel by John J. Guild and the scope of the local improvement act. The case now centers on whether the levy for adjacent properties, including the Guild elevator and Schultz & Gernant, is excessive and properly apportioned.
