Farmers to Organize Illinois Live Stock Breeders Branch
Farmers meet at Township high school in Geneseo on Thursday February 22 1912 at 2 00 pm to organize a county branch of the Illinois Live Stock Breeders Association. Supervisors are urged to bring at least three representatives from each township. All farmers invited to attend.

Edwin W. Houghton Dies at Daytona Home
Edwin W. Houghton of Chicago died February 7 from pneumonia at his winter home in Daytona Florida. He was a longtime Galva resident and former Illinois state representative, a pioneer to Bureau County, and founder of the FE W Houghton Lumber Co. He was a Knights Templar Mason and noted for his civic industrial ties. He left behind Warren O Houghton and Mrs George McClintock.
