Geneseo Farmers Institute opens with strong attendance
The Geneseo Farmers Institute last week drew a larger than expected audience of gentlemen and ladies. President J L Lamont outlined aims to improve home making and husbandry. Miss Donnal Parvier spoke on poultry and Miss Elsie Magee on scoring and prizes were awarded for cakes and bread. Mrs Margaret Bangs and Mrs Dunlap gave talks on cooperation at home and nutrition. The event featured corn scoring led by W D Milix and concluded with lectures on cattle feeding and business aspects, prompting plans to hold another institute next year.
