Letter From Africa Mission Musings and Local Fare
A long, vivid letter from Africa recalls life with the Moyo tribe communities and Mission Band work at Hooppole Geneseo. Florence Stauffacher describes wildlife noises, elephant and hippopotamus encounters, garden damage, and Christmas meals, plus stories of Mulungi and the Kikuyu and Masai people. It details daily efforts to teach, translate songs, and recruit local families, noting women’s labor, child education hopes, and a desire for readers to support and visit.
